I’m so excited to share that KATI KAIA will be bringing an ‘Oasis of calm’ to the city centre in London's Seven Dials this summer as part of the Seven Dials Future Four! We can finally gather, share our original artworks, all things creativity, inspiration for the soul, talk all things mindfulness, meditation, yoga and wellness with a series of workshops and events in the planning for this Summer!

WHAT IS START UP WITH SEVEN DIALS?

Seven Dials is a beautiful area near Covent Garden, London. Full of shops and bustle, restaurants and bars, the area is a magnet for tourists and Londoners to go and experience fine retail, wonderful community workshops and music! It really is a special place. So when we saw the competition for new innovative businesses to enter… we just had to apply, never thinking it could actually happen! But it did! We are so excited to bring our little expression of creativity to Seven Dials, and bring an Oasis of calm to the center of London’s Seven Dials.

Start up with Seven Dials is an initiative developed by Seven Dials to celebrate and support budding UK brands that either launched or developed their business in the face of Covid-19, by offering the opportunity to operate from the iconic West End retail destination in summer 2021. We are introducing the next generation of female entrepreneurs launched on International Women’s Day… and they couldn’t choose just one winner!

START UP WITH SEVEN DIALS WINNERS

Four London-based brands were selected from a pool of entrants by a panel of industry experts including Krissy Turner, Shopping Editor at the Daily Telegraph; Tom Bottomley, Contributing Editor at The Industry and Fashion & Retail Consultant; and Retail Director at Shaftesbury, Samantha Bain-Mollison.

Following an extensive judging process, four brand we’re chosen to launch their own pop up retail space in Seven Dials in summer 2021. 

lifestyle brand Tihara Smith is rooted in its Caribbean influence and known for its original, vibrant, and distinctive stationery, accessories, gifts, and prints, complemented by a customised, made-to-order service was the overall winner with her Windrush inspired collections.

Curated homewares brand Olive Jennings, as founded by designer Amy Harrison-Mason. Olive Jennings will bring its hand-made dried flower arrangements, bespoke room mists and sustainable home accessories to its pop-up space, along with its custom lifestyle and product photography studio offering.

Billi London, the world’s first biodegradable tights, designed in London and made in Italy. Following extensive work on research and prototypes, the pop-up will be an important milestone for Billi London’s co-founders Sophie and Marie in changing consumer behaviour towards tights and building awareness for its sustainable alternatives.

And us! Eco-friendly and artistic yoga brand KATI KAIA, which will make the pop-up space an oasis for visitors in Seven Dials. The pop-up will house KATI KAIA’s original artworks, natural, vegan yoga mats, newly launched Mala Japa Jewellery, and run a series of holistic workshops and activation’s.

 All winning brands are a reflection of the Seven Dials community and its brand values including the emphasis on supporting creativity and independent labels.

Sitting just west of Covent Garden, Seven Dials is an iconic shopping destination in London's West End. Seven Dials is an escape the bustle of Central London and home to independent flagship store, beauty boutique as well as cafes, restaurants and bars.
